LOVE IS AT THE HEART OF THE COSMOS. IT IS THE MYSTIC BALANCE OF CREATION’S ONENESS.
We must learn from all the spiritual traditions. All those spiritual traditions offer glimpses / aspects of the divine Truth. But none offer ALL the truth. We must pick-and-mix, and we must allow what we pick-and-mix to seep deep inside our minds and spirits and souls. And then we must beware of what we absorb becoming fossilised within us. We must absorb and own ALL the spiritual traditions, emphasise what is appropriate for ourselves and our times, and then ‘grow’ those truths within us so that we too may grow spiritually. All the spiritual traditions have so much to offer. And perhaps Christianity’s greatest offering to humanity’s sacred pilgrimage back to ‘God’, is its emphasis on love. And perhaps the easiest spiritual Truth that all of us can understand and even live in our lives, is the Truth of Love. For we all have experienced love. We all know love. And we have all been loved. And why love is so vital to us as we undertake our mystical and spiritual quest is that true and real love brings us to an inner awareness of ONENESS. Two young people in love become as ONE. The mother who takes into her arms for the first time her new-born baby is ONE with her baby. And the living ONENESS of love can be with us through all our lives. ONENESS, the ONE, the Sacred UNITY, are the keys to the universe, are the source and reason for the universe, and are the ultimate destiny for us and the entire universe: US as ONE. We open within our hearts the great spiritual quest when we fall in love – if only we knew it. As we become aware of our responsibilities towards our environment towards out Mother Earth -our sacred Gaia – we become ONE with our planet – if we only knew it. Our spiritual unfolding is the metaphorical and metaphysical unfolding of our arms to embrace the ALL: and one day we will know it. For that will be our great spiritual awakening at last.
The Heart of the Cosmos is Love. For love is the expression of absolute and unconditional ONENESS. The heart of ourselves, is the heart. And the heart is love. We are not always ONE with our own being, but to be ONE with our own being is a vital step in our journey unto the heavens.
There is not a religion, there is not a spiritual or mystical tradition, that does not require of its adherents, community with each other, compassion for each other, filial duty towards each other. It might be what all religious and spiritual traditions have in common. It might almost be all that they have in common. And the irony is that although most religious faiths will emphasise other aspects of their faith and belief system, and indeed will invariably emphasise that belief system in opposition to the belief systems of other faiths, religions and spiritual traditions, it is not what they emphasise that is fundamental to their faith or religion, it is that all but unspoken assumption, rather than requirement, that all their adherents will be in community with each other. Yet it is this latter, and all but unexamined aspect of all religions and spiritual belief systems that is fundamental to the Truth of all of our lives: all of our spiritual and mystical pilgrimages. For central and fundamental to the spiritual and sacred journey that we are all embarked upon, is LOVE. Nothing else. For love is ONENESS. Love is the recognition and the manifestation of ONENESS. ALL is ONE, and in ALL our lives, every aspect of our lives, we must embrace the concept and aspiration of ONENESS, and must bring it into sacred manifestation within ourselves.
ONENESS with each other. ONENESS with our Mother Earth, our Holy Gaia. ONENESS with all the flora and fauna of our Mother Earth, our Holy Gaia. ONENESS of ourselves with ourselves.
So long as we rejoice in the way of all other faiths, then we have but ONE faith. And if we would just accept and understand that all faiths, religions and spiritual traditions, are centred upon the ONENESS of each other with each other, then we would know for certainty that we truly are ALL ONE within ONE sacred aspiration of LOVE: of ONENESS.
Search not for the key to holiness for ALL humanity. For we ALL hold the key already.
Love is the heart of the Cosmos.
It is the mystic balance of Creation’s Oneness.
The heart is at the centre of us.
And our heart is love.
